Skincare, Haircare and Bodycare Empties #31

Last updated on 1 February, 2024

Kickstarting the last month of 2023 with an empties post that was due in September itself. I just forgot to post the empties blog post in September. Then again I emptied a few more products in October and November, that I directly threw so even next empties post is going to take a little bit of time. Anyway, let’s get started and see what all I have finished.

Skincare Empties

Aqualogica Salicylic Acid face wash

I picked up this one with high hopes only to get disappointed. The face wash doesn’t lather much in hard water so I tried foaming it with soft water and the results were same. It just doesn’t cleanse the skin leave aside even reducing clogged pores or acne. I didn’t even feel like reviewing this on the blog. It’s a total miss for me.

Lakme Strawberry Face Wash

On the contrary, this one cleanses the skin thoroughly well and makes it squeaky clean. I somehow used the Aqualogica Salicylic Acid face wash in the morning and used Lakme Strawberry Face one in the evening and finished both of them over a period of 4 months. In between I do follow double cleansing or oil cleansing hence the time span.

Minimalist Sepicalm Moisturizer

A very nice, hydrating, fragrance free face moisturizer suitable for all skin types is the Minimalist Sepicalm moisturizer. I used it just thrice or four times per week so this too took it’s own sweet time to empty. I would definitely recommend you to try it out.

Raw Beauty Wellness Breakout At Bay Moisturizer

Another stellar moisturizer that hydrates without a greasy or oily residue. I love how light weight this one is and goes well with or without layering the your toner and/or sunscreen. I will make a separate post for Raw Beauty Wellness review.

Foxtale Ceramide Moisturizer

Foxtale Cermaide Moisturizer is the best moisturizer with ceramide in India. It is a medium texture moisturizer but it intensely hydrates and moisturizes the skin. Oily to combination skin cannot use it daily in my opinion. However if it works well for you to use on a daily basis please go ahead and nourish your skin with this. Another must try moisturizer in the Indian market.

Plum Niacinamide Sunscreen

Ah, my holy grail moisturizer and this is my second empty tube already. With regular use it has reduced the pigmentation around my mouth immensely. It layers well with Deconstruct oil free moisturizer and I just cannot stop using it. It does leave a whitecast on my skin but settles in sometime.

Raw Beauty Wellness Hair Growth Gel

I absolutely loved using this hair growth gel, however I won’t be able to comment on did it helped with hair growth. It may seem to be in contradictory to the product name, but this product helps immensely in preventing hairfall. I saw a visible difference in hair fall reduction in just one week. However, I didn’t continue using it after finishing my bottle.

Active Topicals BHA body cream

A good body care product if you want to reduce bumps, in grown hair and rough elbow and knee patches. It isn’t much moisturizing but works nicely and gently on exfoliation.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream

I primarily used Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream as a hand cream and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s non greasy yet moisturizing for normal skin. My skin isn’t too dry but people who have dry skin won’t find this sufficiently moisturizing. For winters this wouldn’t suffice for any skin types. Look out for some thick body butters.

Colorbar Nail Paint Remover

A simple nail paint remover that lasted me about one year, yes one year. I don’t apply much nail paints on my fingers and occasionally I apply on my feet. This is a value for money product. You can even use it to clean the sticky gunk in kitchen top or stove top.

I already have some empties that am saving for my next post. If you enjoyed reading this post do drop an email on sonali@skincarevilla.com to let me know. Also if you are a regular reader please check your emails for blog post notifications regularly.
