The cleansing oil is packed in a plastic bottle with a pump up packaging. The pump additionally has a stopped that prevents accidental pumping up. The pump packaging works good and dispenser works well. The texture of cleansing oil is neither thick nor thin. It is lightweight although not like watery. It is very runny in consistency and has clear, transparent appearance. The product doesn’t have any fragrance as such. When I started using it does smell a bit like sunflower oil stored for too long. But the smell does fade off quickly.

Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil Review

My experience with Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil

It effectively removes sunscreen/makeup, oil and dirt accumulated throughout the day. The best part is it doesn’t leave any residue. With regular use I have also noticed reduction in sebaceous filaments and white heads. Additionally this works amazing in Fidgy Snail’s method of deep pore cleansing.

I mostly follow double cleansing whenever I use a sunscreen or when I apply primer and BB cream. Being light weight in texture, Klairs Fresh Cleansing oil spreads easily across the skin. The oil is easy to work upon and glides nicely on the skin even with a light hand.

I usually take 2-3 pumps per use for face and neck. If I massage little oil on the face, it just gets absorbed into the skin instantly. So whenever you use this product, make sure to use little extra quantity since the oil readily absorbs into the skin.

The emulsification of the oil depends on how much quantity you are using. If you take little quantity, then the oil doesn’t turn much milky, but doesn’t leave a greasy residue either. If you take little extra quantity then you can see how nicely it turns milky and rinses off well. The oil emulsifies well with water be it lukewarm or normal water. Upon washing off the oil, I can’t feel any oily residue behind. Whenever I use a BB cream and primer, I tend to follow up with foaming cleanser otherwise I simply use it as single cleanser.

People who use high to medium coverage makeup might find the need to follow up with a second cleanse. I use the cleansing oil to mainly remove sunscreen and it does this job very perfectly well. The cleansing oil doesn’t sting at all to the eyes. People who use eye make-up will find how easy it to work upon the eye area with a light weight texture.

I can’t find any cons associated with Klairs Fresh Cleansing Oil apart from the fact that one needs to use a little extra quantity each time.
