Skincare and Haircare Empties #29

I emptied quite a lot of skincare, haircare products and I have enjoyed using many of them. However I am going to stick to a few products that fit my budget and suit my oily and acne prone skin. Moving onto the skincare empties list, most of the products were emptied over a month ago. I simply collected them to pen down my empty post.

Dot and Key Cica Night Gel

A good, lightweight yet super hydrating moisturizer that soothes the skin. I especially like the fragrance of this moisturizer. I am unsure whether I will repurchase this one or not as I already have a few favourites.

Pond’s Superlight Gel

My favourite affordable, oil free moisturizer ever has to be Pond’s Superlight gel. I like the hydrating and non greasy effect it has. When I bought a big tub, the fragrance felt overwhelming. However I picked up a 25 gms pack from a store and the fragrance doesn’t feel heavy. I will be repurchasing this one for sure.

Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser

One of the mildest face washes available for morning use. I didn’t use this one daily during the winters and summers. I like it as well as don’t like it. I won’t be repurchasing this one.

Plum Vitamin C Serum

Plum Vitamin C Serum is a good product from Plum. It helps to reduce whiteheads and blackheads effectively while bringing a subtle glow to the face. I have found another good vitamin C serum and that is Deconstruct one and so am not going to repurchase the Plum one.

Plum Exfoliating Peel

A very gentle and beginner friendly peel that shows effects for the first time and might feel as if it’s not working. I however would suggest using this if you are going to start your chemical exfoliation journey. I gradually shifted to a higher concentration of AHA BHA exfoliation peel.

Plum Vitamin C Eye cream

Plum Vitamin C eye cream is one of the best eye creams in India. It reduces darkness of under eyes with consistent use and makes it bright. I would like to try something new in under eye creams now so won’t be repurchasing.

Deconstruct Cleansing balm

Deconstruct balm is a good, daily cleansing balm for removing sunscreen. The packaging is practical but sometimes squeezing the balm out is a task. I may or may not repurchase this product.

Deconstruct Salicylic Acid face wash

Deconstruct SA cleanser is a very affordable option for salicylic acid face wash. I like to use it daily and it reduces acne caused by clogged pores. I already repurchased this product.

Deconstruct Gel Sunscreen

Me and my husband, we both use this sunscreen hence you are seeing two tubes in the picture. It is a gel sunscreen that has chemical sunscreen filters. It literally feels as if you have applied gel to your skin. I have some new and unopened sunscreens in my stash so I won’t repurchase this one now.

Dr Seth’s Cica and Ceramide Serum

When it comes to ceramide moisturizers Dr Seth’s has nailed this one. It is a serum and still performs like a moisturizer for my oily acne prone skin. The price is a little high according to the quantity so I don’t think I will repurchase this one.

Petal Fresh Volumizing Shampoo

This shampoo I received as a PR for Instagram review and I really liked it. Petal Fresh Volumizing Shampoo is a good SLS free shampoo one can use. It nicely lathers and cleanses the scalp pretty well. I didn’t notice the volumizing effect while using the shampoo however, once I emptied this shampoo and started using another one I realised the volumizing effect it had. I will definitely purchase this one after finishing my stash.

Hope you liked reading my skincare empties post. Very soon I will be back with another empties post as well as a bunch of reviews.
