If there is one thing on which many people would agree on using an organic product, then it has to be a lip balm. Ever since I started blogging, I was introduced to the idea of using handmade lip balms with plant based butters and carrier oils. I have been using them since almost 7 years now. I received the Juicy Chemistry lip balm as a part of their 7th year anniversary. Let’s head straight to the Juicy Chemistry Blood Orange and Rosehip Lip Balm Review.

My experience with Juicy Chemistry Blood Orange and Rosehip Lip Balm
The lip balm has a soft, buttery texture which is easy to scoop out and apply. It nicely glides on the lips and doesn’t feel oily or thick. It just stays on the lips and works to heal chapped lips. I usually apply lip balm as an overnight treatment as a last step in the skincare routine. I like lip balms which are little thick balm kind instead of an oily texture balm. This one has the perfect texture to my liking.
My lips are not excessively dry or chapped. However I do experience some lip dryness if I don’t use a lip balm for many days. The lip balm softens the dry lips with just one use and makes them soft and supple. The lip balm keeps the lips moisturised all day long, unless you do not lick your lips. If you have excessive dryness, you will notice a difference in 4-5 days of daily use. A little goes a long way in case of this lip balm, so ideally this should definitely last you 4 months unless you use multiple times a day. I am using daily once at night and I haven’t even finsihed 1/10 of it.
The consistency of the lip balm is perfect as it is neither oily nor buttery. It just stays on the lips and works on healing and moisturising the lips. The lip balm can also be used as a lip mask by applying a thick layer for some hours or best left overnight. It is best used as an overnight treatment for lips as it has blood orange oil. When using during the day, follow up with a sunscreen.
Talking about the lip pigmentation reducing claims by the brand, I haven’t seen any major difference in one month of daily use. Lip pigmentation has many causes ranging from hereditary to sun exposure, so the lip balm will take time to show any effects. I have noticed how the lips look healthy and little bit pinker than usual.
