Last updated on 3 February, 2024

I like to use different face washes for removing my sunscreen and sometimes I end up skipping double cleansing. I bought the Biotique face wash for my husband but was utterly disappointed with its performance. Let’s check the Biotique Bio Pineapple Oil Control Foaming Face Wash Review.

Brand Claims

This fresh-foaming, 100% soap-free cleansing gel is blended with extracts of pineapple, neem leaves, euphorbia plant and clove oil to dissolve makeup, purge pores and purify the complexion.

Ingredients

Haldi Rhizome, Neem Bark, Lavang Oil, Ananas Pulp, Ritha Fruit, Purified Water Q.S.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance

The product is housed in the yellow squeezable, plastic tube and has a flip cap. Packaging is basic, sturdy and travel friendly. The face wash has a gel consistency that is mellow yellow in colour. The face wash has pineapple fragrance which feels fresh and tangy. The consistency of the face wash is very runny in nature and is dispensed even before you squeeze the tube. It lathers up easily and you will need just a pea sized amount to remove sunscreen or in your evening routine.

My experience with Biotique Bio Pineapple Oil Control Foaming Face Wash

The face wash is very exfoliating in nature, although it doesn’t dry out the skin but makes it very dehydrated with regular use. I basically picked this up for my husband. He was using more than required quantity and I felt that might be the reason he had got some bumps on forehead.

When I myself tried the face wash I faced the same with my forehead, even though I tried with very little quantity. The face wash has pineapple juice as well as reetha extracts. It cleanses the skin and doesn’t dry it out or irritate at all. But, everytime I used it, I experienced a few bumps on forehead and jawline. I then simply thought of using it as a body wash and I was taken aback.

The product works amazing as a body wash. Due to its immensely exfoliating properties it is best suited to be used as a body wash. This might sound little crazy but I could see my strawberry legs getting a little relief with this face wash being used as a body wash. It nicely cleanses the skin without any dryness as well as exfoliates the skin. It not only provides relief from ingrown hair by exfoliating the skin but also saves the hassle of using physical scrubs and the bathroom cleaning after that. I use it as a body wash twice a week and it has reduced the bumps as well as strawberry effect I get on my legs.

Another thing about Biotique as a brand is they do not disclose the full ingredients list of the product. Plus this product has such an exfoliating property that if someone without the knowledge of skin types uses this, it is sure to give someone damaged skin barrier or bumps. Apart from the fact that the face wash is a good body wash there is nothing I would recommend about this face wash. If you are someone who prefers organic face wash or ayurvedic face wash you can definitely skip this one.

Biotique Bio Pineapple Oil Control Foaming Face Wash Review

The fact that the face wash has some strong exfoliating properties it is better used as an exfoliating body wash. The face wash doesn’t dry out the skin instead it might give bumps on face which settle down with a hydrating moisturizer. I would not recommend this face wash to any skin types. Use it as an exfoliating body wash if you like using body washes and are not into physical scrubs.
