When Plum Salicylic Acid face wash was launched I was excited to try it out. After receiving the product I realised I was amazed at the quantity of the face wash. I have been trying it for a couple of months and then posting the Plum Salicylic Acid face wash Review.

- Deeply cleanses with salicylic acid: The formulation contains 1% encapsulated salicylic acid, which is a unique delivery system designed to release the acid to the skin in a timely and controlled manner. In other words, the acid stays pure and undisturbed right until the moment it touches the skin. This timely release action exposes the skin to smaller amounts of the acid over a longer period of time, thereby delivering better efficacy without irritation.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance
The face wash is available in an opaque bottle with a pump up packaging that directly dispenses foam. The packaging is travel friendly as the cap fits tightly and the face wash does not leak from the bottle. The product quantity is huge and hence the bottle may seem non travel friendly. Plum Salicylic Acid Face wash has a clinical fragrance that is pretty much noticeable. It does linger sometimes but doesn’t cause any problem to my oily, acne prone skin. The foam texture is foamy, creamy. The dispenser foams the right amount needed for each use.
My experience with Plum Salicylic Acid face wash
The face wash directly dispenses foam so we don’t really need to take it on the palm and massage it. We just need to spread the foam on our face and keep it on for 20-30 seconds. The best part is the auto foam dispenser since you don’t need to keep on foaming on your palm, apply and wait. The skin becomes soft and supple after using it.
It gently exfoliates the skin while revealing clear, bright skin with each use. It contains 1% salicylic acid which thoroughly cleanses the skin without drying it at all. I have used the face wash twice a day too and haven’t noticed any tightness, drying or flaking of my skin. Whenever I keep the foam on for 30 seconds I feel how my skin feels clean and bright.
I have sometimes tried massaging the foam on my skin only to notice some zits the next day. So don’t make this mistake of rubbing the foam on your skin, just let it work on your skin on its own. I have also used this face wash along with a vitamin C serum and it did not irritate my skin at all.
Regarding acne reducing claims, this face wash cleanses the skin thoroughly well and helps unclog the pores. But being a wash off product it has limitations in reducing acne. Salicylic Acid can keep your skin clog free but apart from acne arising due to skin clogging it cannot do much. In the case of whiteheads and blackheads I noticed a difference in whiteheads and not with blackheads.
Moreover this face wash cannot be used as a second cleanser in double cleansing routine as it may dehydrate the skin. You may use it in morning or evening skincare routine based on your skincare concerns or preferences. Plum Salicylic Acid based Face Wash is indeed one of the best salicylic acid face wash in India.
Plum Salicylic Acid face wash Review
Plum Face Wash performs the job of exfoliating the skin perfectly without irritating it. It not only helps in clearing up the skin but also keeps it fresh and glowing. If you have oily, acne prone skin, I would highly recommend you to try out this face wash at least once. People who face mild acne problems can definitely give this a try. The face wash doesn’t prevent any hormonal breakouts but tames away the ones caused by clogged pores definitely are reduced.
