Quench Botanics Cleansing Balm Review

I have never used any cleansing balm with sherbet texture and was intrigued by the Quench Botanics one when I spotted it at Heath and Glow store. I first tried the cleansing balm at the store and even requested the sales assistant to use water to check the emulsification of the balm. I was super happy with the product and instantly purchased it. Today we will check the Quench Botanics Cleansing Balm Review so please read ahead.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance

Product is available in a glass jar with screw top cap and has an inner lid as well. The balm can be easily scooped out with spatula. It has a sherbet like texture and a very faint baby pink colour. The balm easily melts with body temperature especially in summers. The consistency is smooth, non grainy and soft. Melting and using the balm requires very little to no tugging on the face. Product has added fragrance and people with sensitive skin or nose may find it little bothering. However, the fragrance doesn’t linger much after applying and emulsifying. Over a period of time I feel the fragrance has faded substantially and doesn’t bother me.

My experience with Quench Botanics Cleansing Balm

As mentioned above the balm is so soft, smooth that it instantly melts when you take it on the palm, especially in summers. It glides easily on the skin and has a light feel to it. Moreover, it does not feel buttery on the skin. It not only effectively removes all makeup, sunscreen, impurities but is also very gentle on the skin. Skin feels squeaky clean after emulsifying and doesn’t strip or make the skin dry even if you use it twice per day on some occasions. Skin feels bright and pores appear less prominent with regular use.

The balm immediately emulsifies on contact with water, cold or lukewarm water alike. After emulsifying, it does leave any greasy or oily residue behind. Whenever I use light makeup I tend to follow up with a second cleanser otherwise for day to day use of just sunscreen, I skip the second cleansing. Regular use of this cleansing balm has helped me reduce the whiteheads on my cheeks and nose.

I feel Quench Botanics Cleansing Balm is best suited for oily, combination skin as it isn’t buttery in nature and doesn’t give much of moisturization post emulsifying. With regards to removing kajal and eyeliner it does a fantastic job of without having to tug or pull the skin due to the sherbet texture of it. It is a great product for people who like to use BB cream and/or sunscreen on a regular basis.

Some may find the fragrance to be overpowering scent but it fades away soon. As of now I haven’t experienced any breakouts while using the balm. Moreover, it does have salicylic acid in it and I am not sure why or how it would benefit the skin.

Quench Botanics Cleansing Balm Review

If you are looking for a nice sherbet texture cleansing balm that melts instantly for combination, oily skin then Quench Cleansing Balm is for you. The cleansing balm efficiently removes sunscreen, light makeup and dirt-sweat. The oil cleanser works perfectly to deeply cleanse the skin without stripping off the oil. Additionally, it gives squeaky clean skin and reduces the appearance of pores and whiteheads with regular use. The texture is very easy to work with and is gentle on eyes as well. Inspite of having a glass packaging I feel it’s pretty compact as compared to the Dot and Key Watermelon cleansing balm. We have added this oil cleanser in our list of best cleansing balm in India.
