Last updated on 30 September, 2024

My skin definitely likes oil free moisturizers and I have used quite a lot of them from different brands. Oil free moisturisers are great for those with oily, acne prone skin looking to hydrate their skin. One of the benefits of using oil free moisturisers is that they do not lead to clogged pores and prevent breakouts and acne. I recently tried the much raved Dr Sheth’s oil free moisturizer and I am pleased with the hydrating effects of it. Let us check Dr Sheth’s Ceramide & Vitamin C Oil Free Moisturizer Review.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance

The moisturizer is packed in a screw top plastic tube. The tube is travel friendly, leak proof and easy to use as well. While dispensing the moisturizer one needs to control the product since it dispenses as soon as you press the tube. The product has a gel-cream, lightweight consistency and very well smooth textured. Dr Sheth’s Ceramide & Vitamin C Oil Free Moisturizer is free from fragrance and smells absolutely nothing.

My experience with Dr Sheth’s Ceramide & Vitamin C Oil Free Moisturizer

The moisturizer is gel creamy in consistency and when you apply it into the skin it feels like a gel that absorbs quickly and does not feel sticky or oily. It is a non-comedogenic moisturizer with barrier repairing ingredients that make it perfect for oily, acne-prone.

I don’t find much of a plumping effect after using the moisturizer though. This moisturizer is my currently my everyday moisturizer. The best part about this moisturizer is that inspite of having ceramide in it, it is lightweight enough to be used daily and especially suitable for oily skin. I have been looking for moisturizer with ceramide for my oily skin and this one perfectly fits the bill. Most ceramide moisturizers have medium to thick consistency making it heavy to use to be used by oily skin.

Moreover, this ceramide moisturizer can be used in skincare layering for any skin type as it has a lightweight consistency. People with dry, normal skin can use another hydrating serum before using the moisturizer. However people with combination and oily skin will find this moisturizer sufficient as a standalone product. Moreover, this moisturizer can also be used beneath a sunscreen as it is a gel kind of moisturizer. On some occasions I do sweat a bit after using this moisturizer, especially if the weather is hot.

Dr Sheth's Ceramide & Vitamin C Oil Free Moisturizer Review

It contains Ceramide Complex that helps in healing process, moisturizes & protects while restoring the skin barrier, but it still doesn’t feel heavy at all on the skin. Coming to the brightening ingredient that is 1% Vitamin C Complex, the brand claims that is helpful in collagen synthesis and fights free-radical damage & hyperpigmentation. However, 1% of vitamin C is too less to see any of these effects when people don’t notice any difference with a 15% vitamin C serum. I would say do not rely on this moisturizer for any brightening effect as such since it doesn’t give any.

Summing Up

An affordable, light weight, ceramide moisturiser for oily, acne prone skin that gives a non sticky finish, blends easily and doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily. The gel cream texture makes it suitable as an everyday moisturizer. Additionally, it can be a good addition to any skincare routine even if you are into chemical exfoliation, double cleansing and are looking for a simple, no fuss and budget friendly moisturizer for your skin. No matter the skin type, this moisturizer will fit into your skincare routine seamlessly. Just don’t rely solely on this moisturizer if you are looking to tackle pigmentation or acne marks.
