The packaging is of vitamin C face wash is recyclable plastic flip cap top. The product is 225ml quantity and the packaging is definitely bulky to travel with. Although being said that I have accidentally dropped the bottle from my cupboard and it hasn’t cracked or suffered any damage with respect to cap or anything else. As for the texture it is gooey and consistency is little runny. The fragrance of the face wash is little peppermint like and feels good. If you sniff it a little long, you will feel it as raw. Although I like the fact it doesn’t smell like excess, artificial fragrance. It has coffee beans in it, which I have tried to shake so many times but they don’t budge at all.

This is the first time am using a Vitamin C Face Wash and having used vitamin C serum previously I am aware of the effects as well as care to be taken. I usually use the face wash twice a week (only once in evening) and that is more than enough for my oily, acne prone skin. I take a sufficient amount of face wash usually a coin size, wet my face and massage it lightly for some 15 seconds and wash it off. The face wash doesn’t foam as such so don’t try to make it foam as it forms a froth sort without any bubbles.

With regular use I could definitely see the reduction in my whiteheads on nose and adjacent area. Once I was comfortable using the face wash I tried using it a little long time like 25 seconds and I ended up irritating my skin near nose and had a small zit near the nose. I have also used the face wash on my dark elbows and it has brightened them considerably. However I regularly need to use a body butter to moisturize them.

The face wash will show you immediate reduction in white heads via the feel of your fingers and it also gives an instant brightening effect to the face. Coming to the other effects the skin on my cheeks felt a little tight and I could see very small skin peels coming off. Vitamin C is a powerful ingredient in skincare even if you are using it in a wash off product you always need to be careful, else you might end up damaging the skin barrier. Consider less usage of this face wash if you use AHA, BHA, retinoid or retinol treatments in your skincare routine. If you have any active acne the face wash might irritate them a bit.

I think one should use this face only once a day (preferably in evening) and only 2-3 times a week as a precautionary measure. Using the face wash in morning routine will not be a good idea as it exfoliates the skin. Using it in evening to remove the dirt and grime is best. If you have dry, normal, combination skin increase the frequency of using gradually while paying close attention to the skin texture and irritation. If you have oily skin and you use moisturizers with oil or butters then you are good to go with daily usage of the face wash.

Overall speaking the Bella Vita Organic Vitamin C Face Wash is a good face wash to reduce whiteheads and brighten the skin. Although the brand suggests to use the face wash on daily basis that too twice I wouldn’t recommend that. The face wash shows immediate effects in one use and so using on daily basis might lead to over exfoliation. The usage also depends on whether you use any other AHA, BHA, retinoid or retinol treatments in your skincare routine. If you do then use the face wash only twice a week excluding the days when you use actives. Dry, normal, combination skin should pay close attention to using face wash only few days a week and not daily. Sensitive skin types can skip this face wash. I also wish the product is available in small packaging of 100 ml so that one can use and decide whether to get full size or not. To actually check the collagen boosting effects of a wash off product you need to use them for years. The face wash doesn’t help in preventing breakouts as such.
