Last updated on 14 January, 2024

Oily skin is prone to acne and clogged pores due to excess sebum secretion. Oily skin needs more of hydration rather than moisturization. I have oily and acne prone skin and to combat it I do everything right from double cleansing to weekly clay masking and steaming. But to truly combat oily skin you need a good moisturizer. Let’s see the Review of HyaluGel Plus Hyaluronic Acid Gel today.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance

The packaging is simple tube with a screw too lid. The product is 30 gm and it is pretty small to carry around. The consistency of the gel is like glue. The gel is colourless and fragrance free. It’s not much watery and not too thick. The product is fragrance free but it smells a lot like glue. I have got used to the fragrance but it really bothers.

My experience with HyaluGel Plus Hyaluronic Acid Gel

I have been using oil free moisturizers since November end. My skin was breaking out crazily if I use oils or heavy moisturizers. So before using HyaluGel Plus Hyaluronic Acid Gel I was using Sebamed Clear face gel. So I often end up comparing this one with sebamed.

Now coming to the gel it gets absorbed in the skin upon massaging, but as we try to massage it does spread like water, the consistency remains the same and once absorbed it feels hydrated yet like a thin layer stretched on the skin. You need to actually again massage your face to feel normal. Skin feels soft and smooth for some hours like 4 hours and after this I feel the need to again moisturize my skin.

In between with the winters being too harsh I applied two layers of this moisturizer with a gap of 20 minutes and the upper layer just peeled out after some hours instead of getting absorbed. This part especially disappointed me a lot. Also coming to the fragrance it feels a bit off and is like glue.
One thing I would like to say is this product is good as a moisturizer if you are breaking out with literally everything, by everything I mean everything. My skin couldn’t tolerate oils, emulsifiers and any double cleansing last month, so I was using HyaluGel Plus Hyaluronic Acid Gel and it pretty much worked good. This moisturizer is good to use beneath a sunscreen wherein we get worried about a moisturizer clogging the pores.

HyaluGel Plus Hyaluronic Acid Gel Review

HyaluGel Plus Hyaluronic Acid Gel is a good oil free moisturizer if you are not able to tolerate any moisturizer or face oil and your skin is breaking out crazily. The only thing I don’t like it you can’t use more than a required quantity of HyaluGel Plus Hyaluronic Acid Gel. If you apply excess product it won’t get absorbed into the skin and will just sit on top of the skin as a layer. Also product is pricier than it’s counterparts in the market. I don’t like the fragrance and the non-absorbing nature of the product when applied in excess. Overall speaking I would say this is a good oil free moisturizer for oily skin. If you are looking for an oil free moisturizer for your skin then this is good bet. It will also work well beneath a sunscreen, BB cream or CC cream.
