At this point, I am an oil cleanser fanatic while trying out cleansing balms and cleansing oils from Indian and Korean brands. Round Lab cleansing oil was highly raved in a subreddit which intrigued me to check the ingredients’ list. After checking the ingredients’ list and a few reviews the only task left was to use the cleansing oil. When I spotted the cleansing oil at 50% off discount on Purplle I didn’t waste any time in purchasing it.

Packaging, Fragrance and Texture
The cleansing oil is available in
200ml see-through bottle with a white pump. The pump dispenses out the oil a little crazy sometimes, so make sure to cup your hand around the nozzle. The cleansing oil is a clear lightweight and watery oil. Yes, a watery oil! It is a fragrance-free formulation yet derives it’s fragrance from the essential oils in it. It has a citrus scent which is from a mix of bergamot and sage oils as well as limonene and linalool. Some people may be sensitive to these essential oils so make sure to patch test.

My experience
I have been using the cleansing oil to remove the daily dirt and grime, sunscreen. I use three pumps which gives me an adequate cleanse that extends down to my jawline. The texture of this cleansing oil is watery yet moisture rich. It is relatively easy to massage on the skin and does not require even the slightest bit of efforts as such. The product does a fine job at breaking down sunscreen, light makeup.
The best part is the ease to emulsify and wash off this oil cleanser without leaving any sort of residue on skin. The great thing is my skin feels clean post cleansing but not stripped of moisture. The major reason I find this cleansing oil class apart is the noticeable difference in the appearance of whiteheads and blackheads. In just one use, I could see reduced whiteheads. It doesn’t reduce the blackheads completed but makes them less prominent. I can’t comment on the eye makeup removal ability of this cleansing oil as I don’t use any eye makeup. However, I feel if you have sensitive eyes, avoid using this one.

The cleansing oil is formulated with water from Ulleung Island which according to the brand claims, gives skin the perfect moisture balance. The inclusion of Avocado Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Canola Oil, Sea Water, Hyaluronic Acid and Glutamic Acid supports skin by supplying it with moisture. After using Suganda Squalane Cleansing Oil I realised how some light weight cleansing oils can sometimes strip the skin’s moisture. In case of Round Lab cleansing oil that’s not the case!
Summing Up
Amongst all the oil cleansers that I’ve tried in the past 6-7 years, I would wholeheartedly say that 1025 Dokdo Cleansing Oil is the best, right from packaging to efficacy. I like the texture, the emulsification after addition of water and just how easy it is to work with. However, I just love trying different formulations so it’s unlikely I will immediately repurchase this any time soon. I would recommend those with any skin type (except sensitive skin) to try this cleansing oil! It would be a great addition especially if you often use makeup or apply sunscreen since it works great as a part of a double cleanse routine. However, it may potentially cause issues for those with sensitive skin due to essential oils used in this product which may cause irritation.
