It’s been some 8 years since I have been using organic or handmade lip balms made with plant based butters and carrier oils. For a change I thought of trying a lip mask and purchased Aqualogica lip mask when it was all over the Instagram posts and reels. However, my experience hasn’t been too good. Read on to know Aqualogica Lip Mask Review.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance
The lip mask is housed in a glass tub with a plastic lid. The product has an inner lid to prevent spillage and leakage. The product texture is slightly balmy yet it’s not too thick. The consistency is smooth and melts once you apply to the lips. Product has a fruity, bubble gum sort of smell. It is some watermelon flavour as mentioned in the ingredients’ list. It has a baby pink colour to it, but it is not too tinted.
My experience with Aqualogica Lip Mask
As mentioned above the lip mask melts after applying it to the lips. The texture is not thick as a mask and just sits on the lips and starts melting. If you apply a little extra quantity thinking about making it work, it will just make your lips feel uncomfortable.
After sometime, it just vanishes without moisturizing the lips enough. I even tried using it as an overnight lip mask and turns out that it doesn’t even work that way. It just moisturizes the lips enough so that they look and feel soft for some 1 hour.
Even in winters the lip mask was drying out my lips further instead of moisturizing them. So I started using it again around summer and it is quite okay with moisturizing effects. I just wish the product was a little thick in texture so that it would stay on lips for a longer period of time. I am still using it during the day and reapply it multiple times a day.
I am not mentioning the pros and cons section of Aqualogica Lip Mask as there is not any benefit of using the product. I simply wasted my money.
Summing Up
Lip mask has a very thin consistency and it doesn’t work when one has dry and chapped lips. This mask does not stay on the lips for long due to the consistency. One needs to constantly keep on reapplying to keep the lips moist and hydrated. At times instead of moisturising, it ends up drying the lips especially in winters. If you are someone who is okay with reapplication of lip balm, then Aqualogica lip mask may work for you. Aqualogica Lip mask may or may not work for you as results vary from person to person. I don’t like constantly reapplying a lip mask so I won’t be purchasing this again.
