Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser Review

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance

The cleanser is housed in a white plastic bottle with a blue twist up cap. The cap further has a flip top which closes with a sound. The packaging is one of the signature Cetaphil packaging. The texture of the cleanser is gel cream kind and consistency is runny. It is opaque in colour and doesn’t have any particular fragrance. The fragrance it possesses is a result of the formulation it seems.

My experience with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

As the name suggests Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser is actually gentle enough to be used by all skin types. It doesn’t foam up yet cleanses the skin leaving it soft and smooth. The cleanser is a good fit in anyone’s morning routine. It is formulated with mild soap-free formulation that cleanses without irritation.
The skin doesn’t feel squeaky clean and the cleanser will just glide on the whiteheads (if you have them). Someone who is looking out for a squeaky clean feeling post using a cleanser, this cleanser isn’t for them. The cleanser is designed keeping gentle cleansing in mind and it effectively does this job. Whenever I use an emulsifying cleansing oil, I try to use this one as my skin gets dehydrated if I use foaming cleansers regularly in my double cleansing routine.

With many skincare fanatics using active ingredients like AHA, BHA, Vitamin C in their routine this might be a must-have cleanser for them. Sometimes chemical exfoliators can irritate the skin and in such cases even washing a face can be a task with normal cleansers. The Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is perfectly apt if you ever face damaged skin barrier or have gone overboard with chemical exfoliation. Any skin type can use this as a morning cleanser because the cleanser provides dual action of cleansing gently while making the skin soft and smooth.

The brand has mentioned that one can use the product with or without water however I have always used with water. In case of travel, you make use the cleanser onto the face directly and wipe it off with a damp cloth. The brand claims of this cleanser removing light makeup doesn’t hold true in my case. I have tried to remove a BB cream with this one and it doesn’t help much.
