Another product I received on my birthday along with Innisfree Clay Mask is DHC Deep Cleansing Oil gifted by Keeko. I have been using it for quite a while and it’s time to review it for you all. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is truly one of a kind and best oil cleanser in India. Let’s check the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil Review.
Brand Claims
A cult-classic, DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is truly one of a kind. With 1 sold every 10 seconds worldwide, this original Japanese first step oil cleanser melts away makeup and dissolves impurities, leaving your skin clean, soft and radiant. The 100% organic olive-oil based formulation works on the scientific premise that “like attracts like.” Applied with dry hands on your dry face, this rich, naturally golden-hued olive oil-based cleanser binds with dirt and effortlessly breaks down sunscreen, sebum and stubborn makeup, like waterproof mascara and eyeliner, without clogging your pores. The water-soluble formula rinses away with zero oily residue. Its silky feel and delicate, natural rosemary aroma make washing your face feel like a luxurious spa experience. This botanical formulation features antioxidant-rich organic olive oil and vitamin E to hydrate, soften and protect against free radical damage, and rosemary leaf oil to invigorate and refresh.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance
The packaging of DHC Deep Cleansing Oil differs quantity wise. The 30ml packaging looks like the one in pictures of this review. The 70ml, 100ml packaging has pump up bottle packaging. The texture of the oil is slightly on the thicker side and spreads easily on the skin. It is golden hued and looks brilliant in the bottle. Fragrance wise it has a slight rosemary fragrance which fades away over a couple of weeks and starts smelling like oil. Nonetheless it doesn’t last long so that shouldn’t be a worry for sensitive nose people.
My experience with DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
The DHC Deep Cleansing Oil spreads nicely on the skin and breaks down the sunscreen and BB cream effortlessly. It also fully removes tinted lip balm. The small 30ml bottle is difficult in terms of dispensing the oil and one needs to squeeze the bottle to dispense. Once you start massaging the oil, it will feel a little hard to work upon if you use little quantity, but try to maintain a light hand. I need about 7-8 drops if I am using it for neck and throat area.
The oil emulsifies well with lukewarm water as well as normal water. Once emulsified the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil doesn’t leave any oily or sticky residue. But I still use light foaming cleanser after using it. I have also tried it near the eye area and it does sting a bit if it enters the eyes. Make sure to rinse your eyes thoroughly well if it happens to enter the eyes.
I find it very easy to use on daily basis for my double cleansing routine. The Cleansing Oil leaves my skin smooth and plump while diminishing the appearance of whiteheads effectively. It not only provides a deep cleanse but also makes the skin feel clean, bright and radiant.
The product might seem a little medium budget skincare product, but it’s worth the money. Finding a good oil cleanser that doesn’t clog pores and rinses away with zero oily residue is hard to find. I am not much into makeup so won’t be able to comment on how it fares with heavy make-up removal.
