Hello my lovelies! Using oils on face is literally in trend these days. So your girl is here with her review on Juicy Chemistry Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil. I’m sure you all must be aware of how rich Rosehip oil is in fatty acids and Vitamin A. Also Rosehip oil can improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of acne scars or stretch marks. So now let’s see how this oil from an amazing brand worked for me.
Price- 580 INR for 30ml.
Shelf life- 1 year from date of manufacturing.
Availability- Nykaa , Juicy Chemistry.
Ingredients- rosa canina(rosehip) oil. Ingredients are from organic farming.
What Does It Says- Rosehip oil (Rosa canina) is a sweet-smelling oil derived from the seeds of rose bushes. It has a high concentration of essential fatty acids which are beneficial to the skin. It has a high content of Vitamin C, and is an effective antioxidant which helps reduce the appearance of scarring, hyper-pigmentation, and skin damage.
How To Use- For a relaxing massage: Warm the oil in your hands or place the bottle on warm water, add your favorite essential oil, to massage and ease your tense muscles and relax your joints.
As a hair oil: Gently massage form scalp to tip, leave overnight for deep conditioning.
Color- Orangeish – Yellowish
Texture- Runny (obviously) and slightly thick for does not feel heavy on my combination skin.
Fragrance- It slightly smells like castor oil to me. It has a different scent neither floral nor earthy. One thing I know is that it will not bother sensitive nose for sure.
My Experience with Juicy Chemistry Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil
I bought this oil almost 10-11 months ago. I was not just looking for a hydrating serum but also an oil which can help me lighten my “light” acne scars. I’m very much disappointed by this oil . Had I just wanted hydration from it I would have used any other oils like oOive or Almond. For the first 2 months I used it as a night moisturizer by mixing few drops in my Innisfree Aloevera Gel. I used to wake up with hydrated face but again I was not looking for hydration. After those 2 months I started using it on its own for next 3 months and still it didn’t lighten my scars even a bit. Next thing I did was giving up on it and starting using it on my scalp instead ( I’m very patient that way). It really nourished my scalp and made my hair look more healthy ans softer . Finally I was relieved that it is of some use. If not for face but definitely for hair. If you’re some one who has very dry and rough hair then I would really recommend this oil to you. Now let’s conclude some pros and cons for this oil.
Pros of Juicy Chemistry Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil
- Nourishes your hair.
- I love glass packaging.
- Makes your skin soft.
- Will work for every skin type.
- No artificial colors and preservatives.

Cons of Juicy Chemistry Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil
- I have very few and not much noticeable scars but this oil didn’t even helped me even a bit to lighten them.
- Leaves yellow-ish tint , so you can not use it in the morning.
Will I recommend Juicy Chemistry Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil
Nope! if you want to use Rosehip Oil for hyper pigmentation or scars lightening then a big no! it did not work for me. Well if you just need a facial oil for some basic hydration then it’s good. Also you can try it as a hair massage oil. Well let me tell you guys that I will definitely try rosehip oil again but this time from some other brand, maybe from Moolit Beauty or The ordinary.
Have you ever used any Rosehip oil if yes, then from which brand? Do let me know in the comment section below.
