WishCare Moisturizer Review

WishCare brand is highly raved for the haircare range and their Niacinamide sunscreen is very favourite across Instagram and Reddit. When they launched the Barrier Bounce moisturizer, I was curious as I needed a little extra moisturization without using a heavy moisturizer in terms of finish. I used both the moisturizers over a period of one month and am writing my review. I have purchased the products and this isn’t a sponsored review.

WishCare Barrier Bounce Moisturizer

This moisturizer has a light weight creamy, stringy yet non-greasy texture. The consistency is cream type but blends in under 10 seconds even on damp skin. It is fragrance free moisturizer suitable even if you have damaged the skin barrier.

This barrier restoring and strengthening moisturizer is suitable for daily use and leaves the skin soft, smooth and hydrated. I regularly use two pumps of the moisturizer and it’s sufficient for the day time. The moisturizer is suitable for winter use in the AM as well as PM routine. However, most skin types won’t be able to use it during the summers as it may sweat. The product is moisturizing enough for combination, oily skin types and one can even use sunscreen after it. The product is non comedogenic and I didn’t experience any acne while using it.

The brand claims this moisturizer to be suitable especially for dry, sensitive skin however I feel it’s not that moisturizing and hydrating for dry skin types. This moisturizer is suitable for normal, combination and oily skin types. According to next brand claims this moisturizer soothes, calms irritation and stimulates skin renewal for smoother, plumper and more nourished skin as it is enriched with Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) and Mung Mucin. My skin has not been inflamed or barrier compromised so I can’t talk about the calming and soothing effects. Also to check the noticable difference about skin renewal, I need to use more than one tube. Overall speaking, if you are looking for a barrier boosting moisturizer while looking for a light weight, creamy moisturizer then you can go for the WishCare Barrier Bounce Moisturizer. It is affordable, fragrance free and light weight enough to be used daily.

WishCare NMF Gel Moisturizer

The texture of the WishCare NMF Gel moisturizer is opaque gel. The consistency is neither runny nor thick. The product is fragrance free but has a slight clinical smell to it. It is easily absorbed into the skin and doesn’t feel like you have applied anything. Moreover it makes the skin soft, a little smooth but doesn’t plump it up.

The product is made with 2% Niacinamide and 1% Zinc PCA & 3% NMF Complex, this formula helps control excess sebum, minimize the appearance of open pores, keep skin hydrated all day. The NMF complex, Panthenol and CICA PDRN provide soothing feel that restores balances skin without heaviness or tackiness. I have not seen any increase in whiteheads while using this moisturizer which I experience while using a heavy moisturizer to make up for dehydration. Now coming to the application with sunscreen, this product makes it very easy to use a sunscreen on top of it. This moisturizer is suitable for oily skin types only and that too during the summers and monsoons. However, I liked the Deconstruct NMF Gel more than WishCare NMF Gel. If you are looking for a gel moisturizer for your combination, oily skin this summer season, you can either pick up WishCare one or Deconstruct NMF Gel.
