Dot and Key Moringa & Argan Oil Shampoo Review

Dot and Key Moringa and Argan Oil shampoo was recommended to me by one of my Instagram friend. I decided to give it a shot since I was looking for a change in the brands I use for my haircare routine. I don’t believe in using a shampoo alone to tackle hairfall, however this shampoo has surprised me a lot. Let’s check the Dot and Key Moringa & Argan Oil Shampoo Review.

Packaging, Texture and Fragrance

Shampoo is packed in a brown, see through, plastic, flip top cap bottle as shown in the pictures. I haven’t used it while travelling so I am not sure about the leak proof thing. The shampoo has opaque gel consistency with a nice floral fragrance. The fragrance isn’t bothering and might just linger the day you use it. It fades away gradually after that. The texture is gel and consistency is neither too thick nor too runny. It’s a good textured shampoo that will dispense nicely even if you aren’t aware of the quantity needed for each use.

My hair and scalp type – oily scalp with thin curly, wavy hair. Lots of grey hair!

My experience with Dot and Key Moringa & Argan Oil Shampoo

The shampoo lathers pretty good in soft, lukewarm water. In summers, I was using cold water for hair wash and I didn’t notice any cleansing effect. Later on, in monsoons, I tried the shampoo again with lukewarm water and it cleansed my scalp nicely without making the ends dry. However, if you are someone who skips a conditioner or hair mask then you will need it while using the shampoo.

It can cleanse oily scalp, even if you have applied some amount of oil on the scalp. However it requires double cleanse to clean the scalp and hair that is heavily oiled. The brand claims that the shampoo strengthens hair follicles and I see some improvement as the shampoo didn’t give me significant hair fall into the shower as other shampoos give.

Hairfall can be due to many reasons right from deficiencies to genetics so please don’t depend on any shampoo to work on the hairfall. Dot and Key Moringa and Argan Oil shampoo takes a few weeks to show results and if you are keen on improving the hairfall then couple this shampoo with a balanced diet and see the effects. I am going to keep on using this shampoo as it has suited my scalp and hair very well as well as I keep on using other shampoos in rotation.

Dot and Key Moringa & Argan Oil Shampoo Review

This shampoo works well in soft, lukewarm water to cleanse the scalp and hair and takes a few weeks for your hair to adjust to it. Once you do some trial and error you will love this shampoo for how less hair fall it gives in the shower. You may feel the need to condition the hair with a pre shampoo hair mask or post shampoo serum. Overall speaking, I find this shampoo good to use in my haircare routine while using other products as well.
