Mamaearth Moisturizing Daily Lotion For Babies | Review

I have been using Mama Earth products for my son ever since they were launched. I have been using the shampoo for my son consistently since 3 years.

Recently I picked up the Mamaearth baby lotion for my kid while stocking up the shampoo. Let’s head for the review of  Moisturizing Daily Lotion For Babies.

The packaging of body lotion is similar to other MamaEarth products, green flip cap top and white plastic bottle. The bottle has a lable which bears a cute cartoon picture of panda. The labels of Mamaearth baby products nice, my son recognizes the shampoo and lotion via the picture they bear. The cap of the lotion which I received doesn’t fit tightly so I don’t carry this lotion while travelling. The shampoo which I order regularly, cap of that one fits nicely. Lotion is pure white in colour and consistency is quite good. It is neither too watery not thick, it’s a good balance of both. The fragrance of lotion is that of Chamomile, which sometimes feels like a paint. Fragrance has nothing to do with the lotion efficiency, am simply mentioning the bothering fragrance of chamomile. Although my son loves the fragrance. Fragrance isn’t much lingering and fades off in some half hour or so.

The lotion has a nice consistency and has the right balance between not being too watery and too thick. It gets dispensed easily from the bottle, due to its consistency.

The lotion spreads easily onto the skin. I usually apply it to my son immediately after his bath. In winters I apply it twice, once after the bath and at night before bedtime.

The lotion takes some time to sink into the baby skin and requires a few massage strokes to sink into the baby’s skin. It turns a bit thick while massaging and gets absorbed slowly into the skin. Now being said that, the lotion nourishes the skin without feeling watery or oily or sticky. If you have applied any lotion which is watery or leaves an oily residue you might as well be able to relate to the time you spend while waiting for the lotion to dry up on skin before sinking in.

The lotion contains some good emollient ingredients such as shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil, wheatgerm oil, jojoba oil which nourish the skin. It also contains soothing ingredients like calendula extracts and chamomile essential oils. Mama Earth is a MadeSafe certified brand so I absolutely trust it in terms of products for my son.

The lotion makes my son’s skin soft and smooth while nourishing it. It relieves my son’s prickly heat during the summers and prevents dry skin during the winters.
