If you are someone who thinks that the higher the concentration of vitamin C in serum, the better the results, then today’s Deconstruct Vitamin C Serum review is for you. I was always under the impression that a 10% concentration of vitamin C serum may not work for me. The reason is, I started my vitamin C serum journey with a 20% concentration of vitamin C serum. Deconstruct Vitamin C Serum has proved me wrong after working beautifully to reduce my pigmentation, whiteheads and acne marks.

The peculiar combination of Vitamin C and Ferulic acid function well together towards limiting the expression of tyrosinase which will provide the brightening effect. Packaging, Texture and Fragrance
The Deconstruct Vitamin C Serum is bottled in a dark-coloured glass bottle with a dropper to use. The serum is water-based and I use one dropper for each usage. The texture of the product is watery and the consistency is water-like. It spreads quickly across the face and is easily absorbed into the skin. The product has a slight cardamom or clove kind of fragrance. The serum has a slight yellow tinge to it due to the combination of ferulic acid and Vitamin C, there is nothing to be worried about it.
My experience with Deconstruct Vitamin C Serum
10% 3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid, a stable derivative of vitamin C is used in the serum. This serum is also fortified with hydrating ingredients along with antioxidants (Ferulic Acid) to repair the skin. The formulation is a perfect beginner-friendly one and along with ferulic acid, contains anti-inflammatory properties which clear pigmentation and PIH.
I have been using the serum for 6 weeks and started noticing effects in the second week with alternate-day usage. I also make sure to use sunscreen diligently.
The serum is easily absorbed into the skin without any sticky or watery feeling. It not only sinks into the skin nicely but also works well with the layering skincare method. I usually like to layer up with sunscreen in AM routine and moisturizer in the PM routine. It neither irritates nor causes any dryness to the skin. Not even once I experienced any tingling sensation on my skin. Moreover, the fragrance of the product fades away as soon as you apply it.
The brand has mentioned using day and night, however, my skin felt a little uncomfortable while doing so and I switched to alternative days in my AM routine only. I find this serum to be perfect on the exfoliating side.
I can notice a considerable amount of skin brightening and fading of acne marks left due to an acne flare-up in December. It has immense clarifying effects on my oily, acne-prone skin as I can notice the slight improvement in the depigmentation between my right cheek and nose. Whenever I apply the serum in excess on my cheeks and nose, it reduces the whiteheads and makes them less noticeable. On other days I don’t use much quantity.
