I have heard of hydrating toners, mists or hydrosols but never really experienced it on a long term basis. To be frank I skip toners in my routine and you can blame my laziness. I sometimes do use mists or hydrosols but rarely I am regular with them too. Coming back to the review am excited to share with you all my experience with Deyga Organics Tea Tree Toner.
Brand Claims and Ingredients of Deyga Organics Tea Tree Toner
Packaging, Texture and Fragrance
The packaging is a plastic bottle with a spritzer and cap. The product is dispensed nicely through the spritzer. The see through packaging make it easy to see the quantity left of the product, but also needs to be kept away from the sunlight. The fragrance is that of tea tree essential oil but is less bothering and non lingering than that.
My experience with Deyga Organics Tea Tree Toner
As stated earlier I have hardly found any hydrating toner or mist. Hydrating oily skin is as important as moisturization. Now coming back to the review I usually spray this after cleansing my skin and when my skin is still damp. Although the brand suggests to wipe off the mist with a cotton pad, I done wipe it off, because am going by the ingredient mentioned which is nothing but steam distilled tea tree water.
I spray some amount of Deyga Organics Tea Tree Toner on my face and wait for it to dry a not (not fully dry). Then I apply the Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel
on my face. While I massage the gel into my skin it automatically mixes the tea tree toner and gel and forms a good mask sort thing which gets readily absorbed by my oily acne prone dehydrated skin.
I used a face pack last week and my skin was less oily but it was dehydrated as I could see some under the skin bumps I have. So I used this tea tree toner in combination with Sebamed Clear Face Care Gel and it relieved my dehydrated skin within one week.
When I introduced this tea tree toner in my routine I could see a little dryness around my forehead but gradually by massaging it with my moisturizer it helped reduce that too.
Now coming to the efficiency part the tea tree toner helps to tame away small zits which I get when I use moisturizer with oil in it. It takes around 6-7 days to show effects. I do not get any cystic acne as such now so I can’t comment on that part. Although it works on small zits I would say don’t use this as a preventive measure and use it more as curative measure to tackle zits here and there. And most importantly do not let the toner get inside your mouth or on your lips by any chance.
Price, Shelf life and Availability – 490 INR for 100 ml with a shelf life of 6 months from manufacturing. Available on Deyga Organics website.
Recommendation of Deyga Organics Tea Tree Toner
I would suggest Deyga Organics Tea Tree Toner as a hydrating toner for oily acne prone skin types. I usually massage it along with my oil free moisturizer on face and I have seen a difference in my skin hydration as well as in taming away small zits. I never expected the toner to have any effect on small zits.
Overall am satisfied with the product efficiency and will definitely get another bottle once my stash is over. Later I found out that the toner foams a lot when shaked a bit which means it has some surfactants added to increase the shelf life so I won’t be repurchasing it. Although it did not give any side effect to my skin.
