Greenie Mill Mangosteen and Moringa Cleansing Balm Review

Hi everyone today is the first blog post of the year 2020. Today we are going to check Greenie Mill Mangosteen and Moringa Cleansing Balm review. I have been using this cleansing balm ever since I have received. Most of the Greenie Mill  products have worked quite well for me. I had picked up the cleansing balm during one of their sale. So let’s get started with the review.

Greenie Mill Mangosteen and Moringa Cleansing Balm Review

Mangosteen infused Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Moringa Oleifera (Moringa) Seed Oil*, Rosa Canina (Rose hip) seed oil*, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Seed Oil, Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu) Oil, Melia azadirachta (Neem)seed Oil, Garcinia indica (Kokum) Butter, Polyglyceryl-4-oleate (vegan emulsifier based on olive and sunflower oil), Leptospermum Scoparium (Manuka) Oil, Cymbopogon martini (Palmarosa) Oil , Tocopherol

How to use
Scoop a tiny amount of Mangosteen and Moringa cleansing balm and apply it all over your face and neck. Gently massage the balm onto your skin and leave it for about 3 to 5 minutes. Then splash some water and rinse your face thoroughly. I usually use warm water to wipe off or splash.

Packaging, Texture and Consistency
The balm is housed in a plastic tub with a screw top and an inner lid. When I received the balm it had melted and leaked a bit. However the brand is looking into alternative packaging to tackle the leakage. The texture of the balm is thick which melts when it comes contact with body. The colour of the balm is that of a caramel and fragrance is that of mangosteen. The balm turns oily when we take it in our palm but not overly oily. Don’t try to close the lid with one hand as the melted balm from another hand has chances of staining your clothes or getting run down on your sink or anywhere.

My experience
I wear zero makeup on daily basis and use this balm to remove my sunscreen or just for double cleansing. The balm melts on hand but when you massage it on your skin it doesn’t turn into full oil due to the butters in it. This balm helps in removing the dirt and sunscreen for daily double cleansing. The brand suggests to wash the face with warm water once we massage the balm. I sometimes use crochet pads dipped in warm water to wipe off the balm. After using the balm I use a foaming cleanser as a second cleanse. The balm makes the skin soft while giving a natural glow to the skin with it’s thorough cleansing effect.

I have also tried to remove the Loreal foundation with this balm but I found it a little ineffective for removing it. I had bought some makeup to use during Diwali which I clearly didn’t use so I have put it aside for testing different balms. This balm also stings the eyes a bit while removing the gel eyeliner. I had to use this balm twice to remove the foundation and liner. This will remove BB cream or light makeup but not heavy makeup.

Overall speaking I would recommend this balm for daily double cleansing and removing sunscreen. It is very effective in skin cleansing and I haven’t experienced a single acne while using this balm. I would recommend Greenie Mill Mangosteen and Moringa Cleansing Balm as one of the good balms to use for double cleansing and removing sunscreen or light makeup.

Greenie Mill Mangosteen and Moringa Cleansing Balm is one of the best balms to use for oily acne prone skin for removing sunscreen or light makeup or double cleansing. Follow this up with a foaming cleanser to manage your whiteheads and blackheads as well. I didn’t experience any acne or clogged pores while using this balm.
